As you’re probably aware, the touring circuit for theatre shows across the UK continues to endure an period of uncertainty due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Since March 2020, Dyad Productions has struggled to stay afloat. Several tours of our shows and the premiere of a new work at Edinburgh Fringe were lost during the ‘first wave’ and we sustained further touring and premiere losses during the ‘second wave’. That’s two brand-new shows that were developed and created that never made it to an audience. And although the lights are back on in the West End, theatres outside London continue to remain closed or unviable due to lockdown restrictions. The knock-on effect continues to be devastating for Dyad Productions, who have been self-funded for over a decade. With the prospect of several more months ahead without income, our future remains uncertain, despite our ongoing efforts to develop and promote online work.
Therefore, if you would like to support us, please donate either through our GoFundMe page or via the Donate button on our website, which will help us in our efforts to ensure that we can continue to produce the kind of quality work you have enjoyed since 2009.
Thank you for your incredible support in these difficult times. We hope to see you again, on tour, very soon!
Stay safe and stay well.

Struggling to think, live and love beyond the stifling expectations of duty, class and convention, governess Jane Eyre and Master Edward Rochester take a dark journey towards sensual and intellectual liberation. Told through Jane's eyes, English literature's most celebrated autobiographical novel shocked the Victorians, and Charlotte Bronte's gothic subversion of fairy-tale romance is now distilled for the stage – under its full title – by writer/director Elton Townend Jones. Performer Rebecca Vaughan embodies everywoman Jane – and several other characters – in this intimate study of love's realities.

Recorded at the Swallow Theatre (Scotland's smallest theatre), it was not filmed with the intention of being shared or broadcast (rather saved as an archive performance). However, following audience demand to see more of our work online, we're delighted to have been given permission by the theatre to be able share this video with you. The ticket price will be shared between us and the theatre, helping towards the theatre's roof fund, as well as really helping Dyad through these difficult times.
There are a few short sections within the production where the lighting level on stage was deliberately very low. The filmed version has not picked up the very dim light, and the screen will appear completely dark. Sound is unaffected. Each section only lasts for a short period. Please do not adjust your device. The video gives a good representation of the live performance experienced by the audience.
